چکیده

In order to have an artificial life system with high evolvability, we should not only look for life-like organisms, but also the molecules that are able to create them. From this point of view, a new trend has appeared that coevolves machine instruction set and programs together, hoping to reach a more complex life and a higher diversity. However, we argue that simple coevolution of programs and instruction set can become problematic. We suggest using different temporal resolutions between the two evolutions to alleviate the problem. Our simulation results indicate that this approach and improve coevolution's performance. KeywordsAssembler Automata, Coevolution, Tierra, Artificial Life.

An Improvement in Temporal Resolution of Seismic Data Using Logarithmic Time-frequency Transform Method

The improvement in the temporal resolution of seismic data is a critical issue in hydrocarbon exploration. It is important for obtaining more detailed structural and stratigraphic information. Many methods have been introduced to improve the vertical resolution of reflection seismic data. Each method has advantages and disadvantages which are due to the assumptions and theories governing their ...

Effects of ageing on speed and temporal resolution of speech stimuli in older adults

Background: According to previous studies, most of the speech recognition disorders in older adults are the results of deficits in audibility and auditory temporal resolution. In this paper, the effect of ageing on timecompressed speech and auditory temporal resolution by word recognition in continuous and interrupted noise was studied. Methods: A time-compressed speech test (TCST) w...

In silico Screening and Evaluation of the Anticonvulsant Activity of Docosahexaenoic Acid-Like Molecules in Experimental Models of Seizures

Background: Resistance to antiepileptic drugs as well as intolerability in 20-30% of the patients raises demand for developing new drugs with improved efficacy and safety. Acceptable anticonvulsant activity, good tolerability, and inexpensiveness of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), make it as a good candidate for designing and development of the new anticonvulsant medications. Methods: Ten DHA-based...

Energy Flow from Root to Shoot: A Comprehensive In silico Analysis

Background: Root to shoot connection and transfer of information seems to be taken place mostly via the transmissions of signal molecules, secondary metabolites, amino acids, hormones and proteins, through xylem sap. Examination of earlier reports is indicative of relatively high levels of conservation in xylem sap protein compositions. Apparently these protein molecules are be...

Prediction of In Silico ADME Properties of 1,2-O-Isopropylidene Aldohexose Derivatives

Retention behavior of molecules mostly depends on their chemical structure. Retention data of biologically active molecules could be an indirect relationship between their structure and biological or pharmacological activity, since the molecular structure affects their behavior in all pharmacokinetic stages. In the present paper, retention parameters (RM0) of biologically active 1,2-O-isopropyl...
